Indian stamps, on & off covers, expertly displayed on 33 album pages (plus a group of additional items yet to be displayed) showing the full range of postal markings & stamps used at the Aden Post Office before 1937. The earliest "124" diamond type pmks on QV vals to 4a & 8a, the large "B-22" types on QV vals to 4a & 8a and onwards with Aden, Aden Cantonment & Aden Camp cancellations on QV ranges to 12a & 1r including multiples & Officials from the "Service" opts, KEVII values to 12a & 1r, KGV with some pretty blocks & other multiples, also values to 1r & 2r, 1935 2½a Jubilee stamp, etc. The covers include many better & more interesting items including (amongst much else) such things as 1893 Indian 2a6p stat env to Egypt carried on French mail boat; 1896 Ceylon 2c card uprated by Indian 1a stamp carried on French mail boat to Germany; 1899 1a Indian card to Java with a fascinating range of cancellations incl "N - I, Agent Singapore" cds; 1904 USA War Department "Penalty" env to USA bearing an Indian 2a6p ultramarine stamp tied Aden cds; 1908-09 group of three cards bearing Indian stamp with the "Bombay - Aden" sorting cds's codes A, B & C; 1910 registered printed env from the Djibouti office of a French trading company bearing 2x Indian 2a6p ultramarine stamps tied Aden cds's with large white "Aden - Camp" reg label & French mail boat pmk alongside; 1919 stampless "On Field Service" cover with "Base Office Aden / I.E.F." cds (also a range of I.E.F. stamps with the same pmk to 1r PLUS SO MUCH MORE. A wonderful range of items, highly recommended (approx 200 stamps & 30+ covers).
